Shoulder Innovations is a US-based medical device company that is commercializing a novel shoulder arthroplasty portfolio paired with an AI-enabled surgical planning software.

The portfolio is anchored by Shoulder Innovations’ proprietary InSet^TM glenoid fixing technology to solve the problem of glenoid loosening, the number one issue for patients in total shoulder replacement. This reduces the risk of revision procedures, while enhancing fixation, speed of recovery, increased range of motion, and allowing patients to return to an active lifestyle after shoulder surgery. The InSet^TM system is designed to embed both the glenoid and humeral system within the bony surface of the glenoid and humerus. The company has received six 510k clearances and is currently commercializing in the US.

In 2023 Gilde Healthcare led a $42m Series D financing round to enable Shoulder Innovations to accelerate the expansion of its commercial and distribution operations.
